About Us

This is WOWIT Enterprises Inc. and I’m Donna, the owner and founder.

My degree is in Computer Science, software, and I spent the first ten years of my career being quite conventional – working full-time at IBM.

But I was looking for more…

So then I gained some “life” experience.  In a nutshell:

  1. I’ve served my country in the Navy
  2. I’ve worked at Club Med: singing and dancing in shows, swinging on the circus trapeze, managing accommodations onsite, etc.
  3. I’ve taught English as a second language abroad
  4. I’ve started three different companies over the years, flexing my entrepreneurial spirit
  5. I’ve achieved Black Belts in two different martial arts (starting AFTER age 30)
  6. I’ve lived in four different countries and I can say, at least, “thank you” in more than 10 different languages

Then I returned to my career profession… I have worked at many full-time jobs and had transitioned into contract roles, becoming an independent consultant for companies involved in large software development projects.  But what should I do next?

I’ve always loved lists.  I love structure and processes.  Anything I can organize is fun for me.  I could play with spreadsheets all day!  And I love to tinker with software and figure out how it works.

I had a revelation, my “WOWIT” moment

I evaluated my strengths and the activities I actually enjoyed doing.  And there were some consistently recurring themes:

Organization

I loved to plan projects – perform research and organize the information (think spreadsheets).

Productivity

I loved to streamline processes to improve productivity – find the best method to structure the approach.

Sharing

I loved to share what I had learned and help others become more efficient – through both techniques and tools.

I realized that my teaching skills, my software background, and my analytical personality could be leveraged to help others.
