1Q was established in 2010 and has its headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. Although, the Atlanta address appears to be a virtual or co-working office space. Their focus is market research, “real-time insights for businesses.”

1Q pays $0.25 to $0.50 USD per question which they refer to as an “Askvert.”
Payment method
1Q pays only through PayPal and only in USD currency. When registering we recommend:
- Ensure the email you use for registration is the same email you use for PayPal
- If you registered with a different email, then you need to add that email to your PayPal account
Payment frequency
1Q pays instantly – you answer an Askvert question, you get a PayPal notification with the amount applied to your account. There is no waiting for a staff member at 1Q to evaluate or confirm your response. Answer 1Q questions, get cash!
Report submission
1Q is straight questions for cash. It does not require any testing, no reporting, no additional information whatsoever beyond your answer to the Askvert. And that effort is reflected in the pay – it is rather low.
Mobile App usability
The 1Q app is very easy to use. You download the app, register (either through the app or through the website), and complete your profile.
Based on your profile, relevant Askverts (questions) will appear on your dashboard. You answer a question, you get paid.
Social media
1Q has a presence on both Facebook and Twitter.
Job availability
1Q pushes Askverts to you based on the demographics defined by their clients. So the number of questions you’ll receive is directly related to the customers in need of responses and your own profile.
As is often the case, larger urban areas seem to have more availability. Also, some of the Askverts have an expiration time so you’ll want to respond as quickly as you can.
User support
1Q has a decent FAQ section but there’s no obvious Help section. Imbedded within the FAQ section we did discover a support email contact, under “We are a charity – how do we signup?”
The email contact is unlikely to be useful if you have an urgent technical issue within the app. But it could certainly be used to get more information.
What do you need?
To use 1Q you’ll need:
- Internet – you must have a means of connection
- Device – you can receive Askverts through the app or by text message, but either way, you’ll need a smartphone
- Software – you need to download the app but if you don’t want to do that you could receive your Askverts by text message instead
How does it work?
- Go to their website, 1q.com, and in the bottom left in the “For Individuals” section, click “Get Paid To Share Your Opinion >”
- You will be redirected to the member page where you need to click “Sign up”
- Register with your email address (or through Facebook) entering all the required information and then click “Sign up”
- Once you’ve validated your phone number (1Q sends you a verification text) then you need to complete your profile – the more complete your profile, the easier it will be to match you to companies with Askverts
- Download the app and ensure location tracking is enabled – this provides you more earning potential for location-specific Askverts
- Choose your payment option – you can choose how much you want to be paid (from their list of selections, not your own wish list). NOTE: If you choose a higher amount then you will only receive Askverts that fit that criteria, effectively limiting the number of questions you will receive.

We have received payouts through 1Q and can confirm it’s legitimate. Our impressions:
- Job availability – there are not a lot of questions coming through for us in our region
- Pay range – the pay is very low but the effort is only seconds of your time
- Payment – we really like the instant payment… who wouldn’t?
- Mobile app – the app is very easy to use
