Discounts range
Ritual has a lot of member restaurants and coffee shops and that translates to a wide range of discounts available so it’s difficult to quote an actual figure.
You earn points for using the app to order your food but you can also take advantage of the price discounts offered by the member shops themselves.
One of the biggest benefits of using Ritual discounts is the ability to skip the line up. This may not be a financial benefit but it’s a real time saver especially when you’re rushing back to work.
Member companies typically have a designated area for Ritual pick ups, bypassing anyone waiting in line to order or waiting to receive their order.
Discounts method
Ritual discounts with the various restaurants and coffee shops are applied directly to your order. But you also accumulate points through your Ritual transactions and these can be used in two ways:
- Often you can use your points to receive an additional discount on orders. For example, a menu selection might quote a price as “$9.99 (Save $3.00 for 250 pts)” so you can choose to pay $9.99 or you could use 250 of your accumulated points to decrease the price to $6.99 instead.
- Once you’ve reached 10,000 points, you can redeem those points in the Ritual app for credit. As soon as you redeem points, the financial equivalent is applied to your Ritual account and will be automatically credited to your next order(s). You can redeem a minimum of 10,000 points at a time and you can only redeem in 10,000 point increments.
NOTE: Your points never expire and your redeemed credits don’t expire either.
Discounts frequency
Ritual points redemption is on-demand. Once you’ve earned enough points then you can request to redeem them and have the financial equivalent applied to your account. You don’t redeem for actual cash payout.
Website and Mobile App usability
You can access Ritual from a computer but it’s designed to be used as an app from a mobile device. It’s a pretty clean interface and easy to navigate.
The app is free to download and once you’ve registered you’ll want to ensure you have linked a credit card for easy payments – this is how you’ll skip the line at their member locations.
Social media
Ritual is on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Discounts availability
With Ritual discounts, it’s all about the points:
- Order points – for each order you place, you get a certain number of points applied to your account, typically 10 points per dollar spent. Once you’ve collected 10,000 points, you get $10 off your next Ritual order.
- Piggyback points – one of the very interesting features of Ritual is the “social” aspect. You can join networks of co-workers eating at the same location. If you pick up their orders for them while you’re getting yours, you get 500 bonus points per guest (to a maximum of 1500 bonus points per order).
- Repeat order points – you get up to 25 times the points when you order a second time from a participating location (to a maximum of 3750 points per order). Also, save at least five of your favourite spots in the app and get 500 bonus points.
- New location points – you get an extra 100 points when you try a new location for the first time
- Wellness points – order from the “Wellness” locations and get 5 times the points on selected healthy options
- Menu correction points – if you notice incorrect menu information, you’ll get an extra 1000 points for reporting that
- Perks / Daily Deals – you get specially discounted menu item offers but you can also exchange points for different deals
You can also earn Ritual Elite status. If you make at least eight orders in one month, then you get 15 points per dollar spent (instead of just 10 points). And that applies for the rest of the month in which you earned it and also for the next month.
User support
Ritual has a decent Help Centre on their site which provides a lot of information. You can also use the “Submit a request” feature to ask your own specific question. We were unable to locate an actual phone number for assistance.

Ritual is very straight forward to use but keep in mind, you won’t save money by eating out. But if you do eat out, then this app will help you save some money:
- Discounts availability – they have more than 1000 different restaurants/coffee shops in Toronto alone and are present in many other cities
- Discounts range – the offers vary dramatically as they’re determined by the individual restaurants and shops
- Website/app – the design is clean and simple to use
