Pay range
Gigbucks micro jobs offers services paid in the range of $5.00 to $50.00 USD. Most of the gigs are in and around the $20.00 USD mark.
These days, there is a significant pool of services being promoted related to driving followers to your social media accounts. Or driving traffic to your website.
Payment method
Gigbucks offer you two choices for payment: PayPal or Payza. You might know Payza by their previous name, Alertpay.
You can choose either payment service depending upon what’s available in your country of residence. Just be certain the email address you specify for payment in your Gigbucks account is accurate. They cannot reverse payments.
Also, if you choose the PayPal option then when registering we recommend:
- Ensure the email you use for registration is the same email you use for PayPal
- If you registered with a different email, then you need to add that email to your PayPal account
Payment frequency
Gigbucks micro jobs does not have a defined payment schedule. You choose when you want to get paid. But, there is a minimum payout amount of $4.00 USD.
If you’ve reached the minimum balance for payout then you can request to withdraw from your account at any time you choose.
Report submission
There is no reporting requirement with Gigbucks. Your client (the Buyer) simply needs your completed work package.
Mobile App usability
The Gigbucks micro jobs app is very similar to their website. You can download the app and register through the app. Or you could register through the website.
Once registered, all your information is available on both the website and the app. You can easily browse gigs and apply through the app.
Social media
Gigbucks is available on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
Gig availability
You have a lot of options for jobs or “gigs” on Gigbucks. The gigs are categorised so you can browse your preferences more easily.
Some of the main categories are Advertising, Business, Graphics, Music & Audio, Programming, Social Marketing, Technology, Translation Services, and Writing. But there are a lot more.
For every category of a gig, there are a lot of listings available. You just need to spend time reviewing all the options. And be certain to check the details!
Even better, you can post your own offers as well. You basically advertise what you can do and the fee you’ll charge.
User support
Gigbucks micro jobs has two primary means for support:
- Email – they provide a support email on their website/app
- Knowledge base – you also have access to a knowledge base with answers to the most frequently asked questions.
What do you need?
To use Gigbucks you just need:
- Internet – you must have a means of connection
- Device – you could use a computer or a mobile device
How does it work?
Registration
The registration process is fairly typical:
- From their website or app, click the “Join” link at the top of the screen
- Enter your username and email address and create a password, then click “Submit”
- You’ll need to confirm your email address from the email notification they send you
- Once confirmed, then update your profile with your payment preferences and other details.
Gigs
- You have two approaches to start getting gigs:
- Browse “Gigs Wanted” where gigs are posted (by “Buyers”) with a fee listed and details of what they need. You can then “Bid” on that gig.
- Post your own listings (you are the “Seller” and you can have multiple offerings but each post must be different) outlining your services. Then a Buyer can approach you.
- Once the connection is made, called the “Purchase”, then the Seller (you) begins work
- The Seller completes the gig and delivers to the Buyer (your client)
- The Buyer accepts your work
- You get paid into your Gigbucks account and can then request to receive the cash through the payment method you identified in your profile
Additional
Some points to remember:
- Gig “level” system – when you first join, you are designated Level 1.
- Level 1 – You can advertise your services right away but you’ll be limited to charging only $5.00 USD. Once you’ve successfully completed your first ten gigs, your customer rating is assessed. If you have a 90% or better positive rating then the platform automatically upgrades you to Level 2.
- Level 2 – At this level, you can now sell your services in the range of $5.00 to $30.00 USD. After you’ve successfully completed 25 gigs at this level and you have at least a 90% positive rating, then the platform automatically upgrades you to Level 3.
- Level 3 – You can now sell your services from $5.00 to $50.00 USD.
- You have to wait 14 days for funds to “clear” into your Gigbucks account after you complete a gig. This ensures the Buyer is happy with the work you performed.
- Gigbucks keeps 20% of what you earn as their transaction fee and there might be a withdrawal fee for the payment method you choose as well
- If you don’t complete your gig on time, then it can be cancelled and the money refunded to the Buyer. And if you let that happen twice, then your account is shut down and you can no longer use the platform.

Recommendation
Gigbucks micro jobs provides a decent platform for connecting buyers and sellers. Here’s our assessment:
- Gig availability – there are a lot of gigs listed and we like that you can also post (for FREE) what you’re offering
- Pay range – the pay rate is pretty average in the industry but if you have the skills and you can complete the gigs quickly, then this could work well for you
- Payment – we like that PayPal is an option and also that the minimum payout amount is fairly low. So you should be able to withdraw your earnings easily.
- Support – they do provide an email contact and a knowledge base but the knowledge base doesn’t have a huge amount of information
- Gigbucks transaction fee – we find 20% a pretty high commission just for the use of their platform
